Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) - AEPS is a bank-led model that utilizes online authentication for conducting interoperable financial transactions on Point of Sale (POS) terminals or micro ATMs through any bank's Business Correspondent (BC) or Bank Friend.

• NPCI - National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) was established by the Reserve Bank of India and serves as a hub for all electronic retail payment systems in the country. These systems encompass a wide array of products, distribution channels, service providers, and technological solutions.
• AePS PE enables merchants to accept digital payments from customers using Aadhaar Authentication. It allows any merchant affiliated with any acquiring bank integrated with AePS PE to receive payments from customers of any bank by verifying the customer's biometrics.
• Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) provides fundamental financial services such as cash deposit, balance inquiry, cash withdrawal, and remittance through low-cost access devices known as Micro ATMs maintained at Business Correspondents in an interoperable manner.

Instructions for sending money to Aadhaar numbers via the AePS PE app:

1. Open the AePS PE app on your phone.
2. Tap Send Money.
3. Tap the three dots on the top-right corner.
4. Enter the recipient's Aadhaar Mobile Number.
5. Tap Verify.
6. The next step will display the recipient's Account Number.
7. Enter the amount and specify a reason for payment.
8. Tap Pay.
9. Complete the transaction.
10. Note down your transaction number.

The Issuer Identification Number (IIN) denotes the initial digits of a payment card number issued by a financial institution and is unique to both the issuer and its network provider. This number aids in identifying the processing network utilized for the card's transactions.

A Bank Identification Number (BIN) comprises the first four to six numbers on a credit card and uniquely identifies the issuing institution. The BIN plays a crucial role in matching transactions with the card issuer.

In statistical analysis, data is typically organized in various ways such as classes, categories, ranges, or on a number line. A bin—referred to as a class interval at times—is a method used for sorting data in a histogram.

The NPCI Mapper serves as a database of Aadhaar numbers associated with specific banks and is employed to route Aadhaar-based payment transactions to their respective destination banks. This repository includes Aadhaar numbers paired with Issuer Identification Numbers (IINs) of the banks that have linked the Aadhaar numbers.
